Welcome to LPC Blog!
A fashion blog specifically centered on the LP
community! Here you can get exclusive
first looks at the new and upcoming line for Little People Couture. We also offer links, through us, to petite
shoe shops that we can order just for you.
Not only is the designer and creator of LPC passionate about
clothing she is offering tailored fashion forward designs made just to fit
petite sizes.
Tmesha has always had a love for fashion and got started in design during her high school years. From there she went to fashion design tech school where she fell in love with it even more. After that she fell in to costume design and wardrobe and worked the stage play production circuit. She was hired to work with stars such as Natalie Cole, Angie Stone, Monifa, Clifton Powell and later worked for New York Fashion Week in 2005. And later continued to work from 2009-2011 for L.A. Fashion Week.
Here are some of her own words about LPC and what it means
to her….
“When I think about this project or career, life altering
moves, it makes me emotional. One side,
it’s the ability to express myself doing what I love. Second, it’s the humanitarian side that
cannot believe that in 2013-2014 there are people that are still not being
serviced and it makes me relate on so many levels.
I go through excitement, then the inability to comprehend
that this is actually an issue or challenge, which turns into a cause for me!
When I find a group of people or persons to be left out, or forgotten or things
built or developed with them not in mind I feel like I should attempt to do
something good or potentially great.
My hope is to establish equal and balance. If I can be a
part of someone becoming more confident and secure having something that they
can go to, I’m all for it. Just the
thought that there are no adult shoes in small sizes and be able to obtain with
ease giving the population of people who need that is crazy. If I can bridge the gap or be the brick that
lays the beginning of the foundation or a means to an end, then yes.
Outside of financial success for me it is a spiritual and
human movement that I would love to see and succeed. I think every type of
people and race that has been oppressed, misused or neglected needs to be
liberated. If I can do a small part of that with providing basic fashion
forward clothing, that’s powerful.
When I hear the stories it’s really personal so my life
passion which is fashion and art has a home now. It can allow me to continue to
create and there is an actual need. It’s not about show boating or keeping up
with other designers, it’s about doing what I love and praying that it gets
appreciated because it’s a need and honest effort.”
